Adrian Bethune

Adrian Bethune is a primary school teacher, wellbeing nerd, and founder of Teachappy. He’s an Associate Lecturer at Oxford Brookes University and Deputy Chair of the Well Schools strategic board. Adrian picked up a ‘Happy Hero’ medal at the House of Lords for boosting wellbeing in schools and later found himself speaking on stage with the Dalai Lama — as you do. He’s the author of the award winning Wellbeing in the Primary Classroom, co-author of A Little Guide to Teacher Wellbeing and Self-care, and lead author of the Oxford International Curriculum for Wellbeing. In 2024, he contributed a paper on teacher wellbeing to the OECD’s Global Forum on the Future of Education and Skills 2030. When he’s not writing, teaching or trying to make the world a happier place, he’s busy being a dad to two boys and a lively cockapoo!
